Welcome to the home of the Newcastle West Circuit of Methodist Churches.

In Methodism, churches in one particular area are in a group together known as a 'circuit' and we work together to share our resources and to support each other.

This website is the home of the circuit that covers the west side of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North East of England, with its reach stretching as far north as Scots Gap in Northumberland.  We can be contacted by e-mailing: This email address is being protected from spambots. This is a relatively new website that's not fully complete yet - Please be patient as we continue to develop its features over time.  Many thanks!

A Message from Rev. Jona Sewell:

My name is Jona Sewell and I am one of the four Methodist Ministers who serve in the Newcastle West Circuit. The Circuit is made up of 10 churches stretching from the outskirts of Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Scots Gap 21 miles north in the Northumberland countryside and sweeping over to Heddon-on-the-Wall nestled in the shadow of the once mighty Hadrians’ Wall.  The buildings range from the large to the typical, small village chapel and you are assured of a warm welcome at all of them.  Details of the service times and the various styles are found on the website.

The services range from the traditional to the contemporary and we are working hard to seek a vision to make the church relevant to the modern age. There is a spirit in the circuit to pursuit excellence in all that we do and we are currently working to make all that we do an opportunity to encounter the living Christ.

There is a real desire to know Jesus more and to live Spirit filled lives and for our worship to be passionate and life changing.  Our aim is to make new disciples and for us all to become more Christ like in all that we do and are.  We believe that our best days are in front of us and we would love it if you came and joined in the worship and work with us in building the kingdom and in making the love of Jesus known. Looking forward to meeting you.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,

Jona.
